After growing up in a poor gypsy camp, Edmond Vidal, aka Momon, has retained a sense of family, unfailing loyalty and pride in his origins. Most of all, he has remained friends with Serge Suttel, with whom he first discovered prison life - for stealing cherries. The two of them inevitably got involved in organized crime. The Chateau Meroux presents us a lighthearted PG-13 fable of what surely must have been one of Welles’ most habitual wet dreams (well, aside from completing Don Quixote, that is): to inherit an entire winery. Fortunately, though, we get the much easier-to-look-at Marla Sokoloff in the lead role here as Wendy, a young lass from the big city who can’t seem to get a grip on her career(s).

Jerry Ferro's 40th birthday has brought his life into sharp relief and it's not a pretty picture.
